Goodbye, Pepe

We're back a little early from our Maine vacation because Aaron's grandfather, Nora's great-grandfather, passed away this week. He was a kind and friendly and caring man, and he'll be dearly missed. I'm so glad that he got to meet his great-granddaughter. Goodbye, Pepe.

It will be up to you and the family to keep Pepe's memory alive for Nora. My father passed away only three months after the birth of his only grandson, but I know that he was very proud of him and loved the time he spent with him. Today, I keep him alive in the grandkids minds by story telling, telling them how much he loved them, and now he is their "Papa Angel" watching over them. Twice a year (His birthday and Christmas) we attach notes and pictures on a large bunch of helium balloons and let them go up to heaven. We know he gets them once we can't see them anymore. The last time we did it, we had a thunder and lighting storm. Sam, age 6, said that Papa liked his pictures and notes so much that he gave us a "light show." Out of the mouth of babes! You and your family are in my prayers....

Love and Kisses,
Auntie Kathleen
