A Day in the Life

The Adventures of Nora and Josie (and their parents)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

We went out last week and tromped around in the woods behind Nora's Meme's house (Nora's great-grandmother) in search of a Christmas tree. We're kind of partial to the Charlie Brown look around here... A few days later, the tree is up in our dining room, complete with lights and ornaments. Nora is totally fascinated by it - A Tree!!! In Our House!!!! It's fun to show her the various ornaments - she really likes the sparkly ones.

Nora riding on Mama's back to go pick out a tree.
Trying to take a picture over my shoulder...
Daddy bringing the tree back to the car.
The finished product! (It's hard to take a picture of a lit Christmas tree in the middle of a sunny morning!)

That's a great tree - what fun to have one in the house. Btw, is she in a sling on your back? What do you use? We would like to carry Katrina on our back, but haven't found a good way to do that yet.

Sarah, it's about 11 feet tall! We put in a cathedral ceiling in the kitchen/dining room a couple of years ago, and one of the main benefits is that we can now fit properly enormous Christmas trees!

Alexandra, she's on my back in a mai tei that I made. I think a MT is a great, flexible carrier, we use ours all the time, front/back/hip. A similar, but more structured/backpack-like carrier is the Ergo, if you want something with more buckles, etc. If you're interested in a MT, PM me and I can tell you about the ones I make and sell! :)
